Mardin Sabin (1840-1917) papers include materials about his Civil War services as Captain with the Indiana 100th Infantry, his fifty years as physician in Centreville, Michigan, and two terms as Senator in the Michigan Legislature. The Civil War papers include about one hundred letters between Captain Sabin and his family; two diaries, 1864, 1865; muster rolls for Indiana 100th Infantry, Company B; miscellaneous correspondence with a photograph, about reunions of the 100th. Ten manuscript speeches, and a typescript of Sabin's memoirs. Howard B. Sabin papers include items about his World War I service. Diary of L.H. Sabin, 1886. Railroad passes for the Michigan Central Railroad, and the Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana Railroad, 1864, 1865; passes for miscellaneous railroads, 1891, 1892. Genealogical papers and research for surnames of Sabin, Skinner, Smith, Wallace, Reed, Lothrop, and Brockway.
